I recently retired after 35 years in the corporate world, most recently serving as Vice President, Human Resources with AutoZone in Memphis, TN, where I was responsible for managing employment policies and training in over 5,100 retail stores. After graduating from WWU with a degree in Business Administration, my career started at the Kresge Company (Kmart stores). I managed stores in California, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio before accepting a number of corporate leadership roles in both Store Operations and Human Resources at their headquarters in Michigan. Despite their current downfall, I'm forever grateful to Kmart for many things - professional development, great friends and colleagues across the country, a chance to travel and most of all the opportunity to meet my husband and partner of over 20 years, Michael. Mike is from SE Michigan about an hour from our current home in the city of Birmingham, a vibrant community outside of Detroit.

I've always enjoyed the challenges of building effective partnerships, meeting deadlines, improving practices and working with people to accompiish great things! Starting of course, back at CPHS in 1977 when I had the pleasure of serving as a co-editor of our yearbook with Sonja Stevenson, and as co-drum major with Sal Mungia. I have such fond memories of our time together.

Although sadly we lost my twin brother Bob in a snowboarding accident 17 years ago, my two sisters and their families remain in the Pacific NW, so we visit annually. We look forward to making our upcoming trip extra special by re-connecting with so many of you at our 40th class reunion! Where has the time gone?
